According to projections from Statistics Netherlands (CBS), the number of people with a migration background is increasing. A quarter of the population comprises individuals from 200 different nationalities in the Netherlands. Among them are already one million Muslims and an equal number of migrant Christians. By 2060, the number is expected to rise to 7.6 million, representing 39% of the population.
